|"Rich in Tradition... Dedicated to Excellence"
| At Anona Elementary our focus is to provide an engaging, academic environment with the highest student achievement in a safe learning environment. Children and teachers alike must become master learners, problem solvers and world communicators in order to be effective and successful. We are proud to have received an "B" grade for the 2012-2013 school year. Outstanding students, dedicated staff, and supportive parents all work together to help our students succeed. We are all proud of Anona's accomplishments and will continue to strive for excellence.
Anona Elementary School was originally established in the 1800's. The first recorded history of Anona is in 1874. While the school building itself has been moved from its original location, we still strive to maintain that small community atmosphere, while increasing our use of technology offers your child the best of both worlds. Today, we have a flourishing school community with more than 400 students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

Morning Car Circle Safety
For your children's safety, please wait until your vehicle has cleared the guard rails along the sidewalk before you allow your children to exit your car. Staff members are stationed in the drop off area between Building 5 and the Kindergarten room closest to Indian Rocks Road. If everyone pulls forward as far as possible in the lane before children exit cars we should be able to move the line more quickly and safely in the morning.
Thank you for your cooperation!
New Student Registration and Kindergarten Registration Begins March 3rd for the 2014-15 School Year.
To register for kindergarten, children must:
• Be 5 years old on or before Sept.1
• Be able to show proof of residency (home address)
• Have a Florida Certificate of Immunization (shots record)
• Have a physical examination certificate
Student Registration Process
IMPORTANT - Any new student in kindergarten, sixth or ninth grade who enrolls in Pinellas County Schools will be assigned to a zoned school. All other new students will be assigned to their zoned school on a space-available basis.
STEP 1: Find Your Zoned School
Parents will first need to find their child’s zoned school by using the Zoned School Locator or calling Student Assignment, (727) 588-6210.
STEP 2: Reserve a Seat
To reserve a seat at a zoned school, use the online Student Reservation System (SRS) located on the district website, www.pcsb.org. You can use any computer, including a school computer, to reserve a seat.
To use the Student Reservation System, you will need a PCS Portal User ID and password. To get a new PCS Portal User ID and password, visit any school. Make sure to bring a valid ID (Driver's License, State ID card, Passport/Visa, Military ID or Green Card). If you already have a User ID and password for another child, you do not have to obtain new ones.
STEP 3: Register
The final step is to visit the assigned school and deliver the Required Documents: Birth certificate or other proof of identity/age, two documents proving residency, Florida Certificate of Immunization, physical examination certificate, child’s most recent report card (for students in grades 1-12), Individual Education Plan (if your child participates in exceptional student education) and Social Security number.
